WHAT IS STRONTIUM DOG?
Strontium Dog is a long-running comic strip in weekly UK sci-fi anthology 2000AD. The classic tales were written by John Wagner and Alan Grant, and illustrated by Carlos Ezquerra. The series follows the exploits of Johnny Alpha, a mutant Search/Destroy Agent.

WHAT IS UNREAL TOURNAMENT?
Have you been living under a rock? Unreal Tournament is one of the finest examples of a first-person shooter ever produced. What it lacks in storyline, it makes up for in ultraviolent mayhem. It was voted Game of the Year by the PC games press in '99. The latest version is Unreal Tournament 2004, which includes drivable vehicles, a feature I plan to exploit...

WHAT'S THE STORY?
Warped by the mutating effects of radioactive Strontium 90 fallout, mutants are a victimised underclass on Earth. Denied normal work, many have taken the one job too dirty for norms: bounty-hunting. Across the expanding frontier of space, they hunt the criminals too dangerous for the Galactic Crime Commission. Johnny Alpha is one such "Strontium Dog" - a good man in a bad Galaxy

WHY CHOOSE STRONTIUM DOG?
Several years ago, I started work on a Judge Dredd TC for the original Quake. This was progressing quite nicely until my hard disk was trashed by the CIH virus. These days, I back my work up. Having finally got over that trauma, I decided to give myself something constructive to do & get back into the modding thing.

My original choice, Judge Dredd is no longer an option, since Rebellion recently released a game featuring Old Stoney Face. If you want to visit a lovingly rendered recreation of Mega-City One and crack a few skulls while you're there, give it a go!

I chose instead to go for another Wagner/Ezquerra creation, a character who is arguably every bit as mean and as cool as Dredd himself, who has at least as much impressive hardware, and who has actually fought both against and alongside the granite-jawed lawman on several occasions - step forward Johnny Alpha!

HOW ABOUT MORE INFO ON THE WEAPONS?
There's some weapons info on the character profiles section, but we'll be posting details as more weapons are finalised. There will be a seperate page for the weapons.

It's a little difficult to see just how some weapons are going to work in the game. For example the Time Drogue. If anybody has any suggestions how to effectively include this natty piece of kit, please let us know...

WHAT ABOUT JOHNNY'S ALPHA EYES?
Erm, yeah. They'll be in there. Not entirely sure how they'll be implemented yet, but they will be an integral feature in the game.

WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE?
We'll be using Carlos Ezquerra's classic artwork as the basis for the textures. His work defined the whole look of Strontium Dog and would be difficult to top. We're definitely hoping to get across the dusty, grimy, spaghetti-western feel of the SD universe.

CAN I HELP?
Of course! The more the merrier! If you come up with any usable models, textures, etc, please send them this way & we'll make sure you're credited on the site.

If you have a question you want anwering, go ahead and ask me!
